Good News International Ministries / Paul Nthenge Mackenzie

Kenyan apocalyptic sect led by Paul Nthenge Mackenzie, a former taxi driver turned televangelist. Members were told to starve themselves and their children to 'meet Jesus'; exhumations at Shakahola Forest from April 2023 recovered over 400 bodies. Mackenzie and co-defendants face murder, manslaughter, terrorism and child-torture charges; a Kenyan commission of inquiry documented the group's mechanics.
